About Rob Fenech Jr

I grew up in the world of racing pigeons. I’ve been in pigeon lofts since before I could walk. As a kid, I’d be cleaning the pigeons out with my dad, Bob Fenech. Or I’d be up early with him to take the young birds training before school. I have some very fond memories of driving from our house to a pub with a playground, and whilst he’d let the pigeons sit in the basket for 15 minutes, my dad would get me a coke and a packet of crisps from the bar and we’d just sit and watch the world go by.

And then he’d let the pigeons go. And we’d try to race them home.

And now, I don’t race pigeons myself. But I still keep involved with my dad and his love of the birds as much as I can.

Away from pigeons, I’m a dad myself now. I run my own web design agency in Stamford, Lincolnshire. Now and then, I get asked by one of dad’s friends in the sport if I can build them a website, and before now, it wasn’t really possible. My setup was always working with big agencies, on huge brands and I didn’t have any time to work on websites where the budgets weren’t pretty sizeable – my days were dominated by London agencies. But over Christmas, and ahead of Blackpool 2024, I thought I would carve out some time and create something that was for pigeon fanciers specifically.
